A demonstration of delusion

Here is correspondence between Dr Sean Wasserman, who will hopefully be writing for us from time to time, and a Chellie de Jager who signs her emails as a Spiritual Teacher and Healer. Wasserman's email to De Jager in response to an advert is written with his tongue firmly in his cheeck. De Jager however is quite serious, we think. She is running a Lemurian Healing workshop in Cape Town. What is Lemurian Healing? According to De Jager it has ten times the power of Reiki.

I have also taken the liberty of forwarding your advertisement to the Health Professions Council of South Africa.

This fad appears to be so new there isn't even an entry for it yet in Wikipedia. Enjoy.

Here is the text of De Jager's advert for her workshop:

LEMURIAN HEALING WORKSHOP

The Lemurian Healing Energy is said to have ten times the
power of Reiki.  This energy is best used for healing the Earth,
but can also be used to heal people.
Lemurian Healing Energy is a pure, wonderful flowing
vibration.  It is very important and needs to be used to assist
the Earth and humanity, as much as possible, before we
reach 2012 and then to assist with the preparation for the
New Golden Age in 2032.

Lemurian Healing is particularly important for Africa as it will
help to raise the frequency of Africa.
The crystals contain energies that bring forward and unlock what
Is needed to help the stellar world as well as the whole of creation.

We are told that it is time now for those who were in Lemuria,
or who feel particularly aligned with nature, to step forward
and practice Lemurian Healing.

Workshops are run over 2 half days.
Lemurian Crystals will be made available on loan and there will also be crystals for sale.
Date:  28th & 29th May 2011
Time:  9:00am to 1:30pm (both days)
Venue:  Novalis Ubuntu Institute, Rosmead Ave, Wynberg
Cost:  R500.00 (includes notes, teas & coffee’s)
Contact:  Chellie – info@angelvision.co.za or 083 256 0731

And here is Sean's entertaining response:

Dear Chellie

I inadvertently received an advertisement for your Lemurian Healing Workshop.

The claims you make regarding the power of your crystals, although vague, sound potentially fantastic.

Before signing up for your workshop, it would be encouraging if you could forward me some data on on both the experimental and real-world performance of your crystals, preferably against a placebo control, so that I can make an informed decision about spending R500 to attend. I'm sure you would agree that these days we should think twice about believing everything we read in adverts, especially those from drug companies and the like, so please indulge me in this request.

Also, considering the phenomenal ability of your crystals to "raise the frequency of Africa," may I suggest that you consider offering them at no cost to the majority of poverty-stricken Africans who would clearly derive the greatest benefit from this aspect of their healing powers. This would be seen as an act of goodwill, 'spreading the love' in a manner of speaking.

I have also taken the liberty of forwarding your advertisement to the Health Professions Council of South Africa. As you know, this is a statutory body which regulates the conduct of health care professionals in our country. You will no doubt agree that in our field of healing, our primary concern is the well-being of our patients who need protection from charlatans and the false or harmful treatments they may offer.

I look forward to receiving further information from you regarding the efficacy of your crystal interventions, and will be delighted to attend your workshop with the knowledge that the treatments it offers actually work.

Chellie very kindly responded with complete sincerity (or is she also being tongue-in-cheek?) to Sean's email.

Dear Sean,

I trust that this mail finds you well and I thank you for your mail.

I have responded to your questions in red below.  (Next to your questions)

Have a wonderful day.

With much love and blessings

Namaste

Chellie

Dear Chellie

I inadvertently received an advertisement for your Lemurian Healing Workshop (included below). The claims you make regarding the power of your crystals, although vague, sound potentially fantastic. (The energy of the crystals is phenomenal and has to be felt and experienced to really understand and appreciate the power that they have and transmit.)

(The healing is not only of a physical nature, however, I know, first hand, of instances where bones were mended as well as blind spots being removed from both human and animal eyes, to name just a few.   Also when used on people, it awakens something within the soul and huge shifts take place for the individual.  The real essence of these crystals, however,  is their healing energy, which the Lemurians infused into them,  which is focused on the healing of the planet, assisting and raising the consciousness and frequency of humanity to assist with the ascension process.  I remain in awe of these crystals and their energies and I am honoured to be working with and teaching people about them.)

(Interestingly enough, we are going to be doing something to that effect!  We are setting up a crystal grid and placing and leaving the crystals in and around various places in Africa to help with this.)

(I agree with you 100%)

I look forward to receiving further information from you regarding the efficacy of your crystal interventions, and will be delighted to attend your workshop with the knowledge that the treatments it offers actually work. (If you have a desire to assist with healing the planet, and you are ready for some shifting to take place in your life, then you may very well enjoy and benefit from this workshop.)

A whole ten times more powerful than Reiki? Wow! I wonder how they managed to measure that?

Thanks for the amusement Sean.

The HPC aren't likely to do anything though - they may just refer you to the AHPCSA[http://www.ahpcsa.co.za/] - it would be interesting to know what they would consider as a minimum 'believe-ability' requirement?

Oddly, I believe the statement is accurate. After all ten times nothing equals nothing. :-)

Ag shame, poor Chellie. UWC School of Natural Medicine graduate perhaps?

"ten times more powerful than Reiki?"... Last time I checked, 0 x 10 = 0...

Who is the real Chellie de Jager? Both images are of Chellie and associated with AngelVision in order to promote the site:

I assume the more alluring image is possible from eons ago? (I am trying to learn the same lingo)

@Harris - perhaps that's the before and after pics? Maybe the crystals are merely transferring Chellie's life-force?
