Description
This Solal advert on the front page of the Cape Times claims that ACES Plus is product with anti-oxidants that neutralises acetaldehyde which causes hangovers. There are many claimed cures for hangovers. There is generally little if any evidence to support them.
The same advert also claims that their apple-flavoured Detox Drink is "a combination of nutrients that detoxify and help protect the body and brain." While the word detox might have meaning in the context of swallowing a poison or being biten by a poisonous animal, its use in this context has no scientific meaning.
